ARMAINE YAPYUCO

Armaine Yapyuco was born in Manila, Philippines in 1992. She started drawing as a child, and has been self-taught since.

Although having graduated with a major in BS Architecture at the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines, she decided to dive back to her first love, the fine arts, by pursuing her MFA in Global Art Practice at Tokyo University of the Arts in Japan.

She usually finds comfort in utilizing paint medium in her works, but has recently been exploring and expanding into other forms of art, such as installation, performance, and the like.

After completing her undergraduate degree, she has exhibited in several group shows in the Philippines, Japan, and South Korea.
